About

Divine Descent is a mythology-themed peg-clearing game built in Unity 6 with URP. Each run pairs physics-driven shots with the powers of a Greek god, and Hades can even pull a lost ball back from the Underworld.

What is built

  • Nine gods — Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, Hephaestus, Hermes, Apollo, Artemis, Ares and Hades, each with a signature power, tied into a five-element system
  • Twenty levels with constellations and board modifiers that change how a board plays
  • Adventure mode — a twenty-level roguelite run with blessings to pick up along the way, plus an endless mode, and runs that save and resume
  • Challenge mode — eighteen challenges across six types and three difficulties, with leaderboards
  • Settings, three save slots, a tutorial and in-game lore

Technical Highlights

  • Unity 6 with Universal Render Pipeline
  • Physics-based gameplay — ball trajectory, peg collision, chain tracking and scoring systems
  • Data-driven design — gods, pegs, levels and blessings defined as ScriptableObjects
  • Procedural audio — sound effects and music tracks synthesized in code, with crossfading
  • Level geometry validator — an editor check that catches overlapping or duplicate pegs before a level ships

Current Status

The core game and its main modes are built. Next up is play-testing and tuning.
