DockPilot — Docker & Portainer Companion App

The Short Version
DockPilot does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. The app connects directly to your own Docker or Portainer server on your own network. We never see your container data, server addresses, credentials, or anything else.
Data We Collect
None. DockPilot collects zero personal data, zero analytics, zero telemetry, and zero usage statistics. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Data Stored on Your Device
DockPilot stores your server connection details (server URL, username) and authentication tokens locally on your device using the operating system's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). Passwords are encrypted at rest. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to CampbellSoft Studios or any third party.
Network Communication
The app communicates exclusively with Docker and Portainer servers that you configure. All traffic flows directly between your device and your server, either over your local network or through your own VPN tunnel (Tailscale, WireGuard, Cloudflare Tunnel, etc.). CampbellSoft Studios does not operate any servers, proxies, or intermediaries. No data is routed through us.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications via the optional DockPilot Relay (a Docker container running on your own server), notifications are delivered through Expo's push notification service. The notification content (e.g., "Container nginx-proxy stopped") is generated by your server and passes through Expo's infrastructure. We do not store or process notification content. You can disable notifications at any time.
Container Data
All container information (names, images, logs, resource stats, environment variables) is fetched directly from your Docker or Portainer API. DockPilot is a management interface, not a storage service. We never have access to your container data, logs, or configuration. The app simply displays what your server provides over your own network connection.
Third-Party Services
DockPilot does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. The only external service is Expo Push Notifications (used solely for delivering alerts from your own relay) and Apple/Google in-app purchase infrastructure (used solely for subscription management).
In-App Purchases
DockPilot Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store payment information. Receipt validation occurs on-device.
Children's Privacy
DockPilot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
